HONORING LAW ENFORCEMENT

The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office would like to say thank you to the Okeechobee Blood Roundup. Last night a program was dedicated to honoring Law Enforcement at the Silver Palms RV Resort. Keynote Speaker Larry Frederick travels the country to raise awareness of the need for blood donations. Larry, a Vietnam Veteran, was working as a police officer in 1982, and while conducting a traffic stop, was hit by a DUI driver traveling 65 mph. He has been an ardent advocate of blood donation ever since. Sheriff P
