Inmate Phone & Mail

ATTENTION: Effective November 1st, 2022  

 

We do not accept any of the items discussed below at the front desk or in person.

PERSONAL MAIL

Effective November 1, 2022, HomeWAV will partner with a new mail management provider called TextBehind at this correctional facility. Going forward, TextBehind will photocopy all appropriate physical mail and deliver it digitally to the correctional facility. All mail will be reviewed and approved by the facility staff. Inmates will continue to receive all mail digitally, through the HomeWAV kiosk. Sending Physical Mail to TextBehind: All appropriate physical mail must be sent to the following TextBehind mailing address to be photocopied before being forwarded to this correctional facility and uploaded to the HomeWAV kiosk. To meet the mail processing standards, every mail sent to an inmate must contain the following information:

 

1. Sender’s complete first and last name. Initials are not acceptable.

2. Sender’s complete return address.

3. Inmate’s complete first and last name. Initials are not acceptable.

4. Inmate Number.

5. Correctional institution full name. Abbreviations are not acceptable.

 

Any mail without complete or missing information as specified above, either for the sender, or the inmate will be rejected and discarded UNOPENED without exception. The correct address format is as follows:

Any mail received at the facility after 11/15/2023 will be returned to the sender.

 

UNACCEPTABLE MAIL:

TextBehind does not accept legal mail, money orders, personal checks, gift cards, or cash in the mail. These unacceptable items will be returned to the sender. Please send it to the facility address listed below under Legal Mail and Publications.

 

LEGAL MAIL AND PUBLICATIONS 

Legal mail will continue to be sent to the Facility, and publications directly from a publisher, distributor or authorized retailer should still be addressed to:

For security reasons, once an inmate is approved, a limit of three soft-cover books, two magazines, and two newspapers are permitted.

Also, they must be received directly from the warehouse distribution center of an internet distributor, OR directly from the newspaper, magazine, or book publisher.
 

NOTE: We will refuse newspapers, magazines, or soft-cover books shipped or mailed from an individual.

Also, we will refuse books that have:

  • Hardcovers,

  • Spiral bindings,

  • Case or hardcover bindings, except for soft-cover religious texts/scriptures (e.g., Bibles, Korans, Vedas, etc.)

  • Nudity or sexually explicit material.

Inmate Phone Via HomeWAV Voice

Inmates now utilize HomeWAV Voice through the video visitation systems to place regular phone calls.  HomeWAV Voice cannot call pagers, internet phones, etc. Money can be added to the inmate’s phone account through www.homewav.com utilizing the "Deposit Funds as Guest" button at the bottom of the HomeWAV webpage or by coming on-site and using the HomeWAV kiosk in the lobby.

Sheriff and Jail Staff can only deliver verifiable emergency telephone messages. Jail Supervisor will verify thru Hospital, Coroner, Funeral Home, etc.

Bail Bonds Account Set-Up

Creating an account with HomeWAV is a convenient way for inmates to reach your business.

Inmate Clothing

Males - 4 of each                               Females - 4 of each

Socks - may have grey on soles             Socks - may have grey on soles

Underwear - boxer or brief                      Underwear - briefs - no male underwear

T-shirt - no pockets                                 T-shirts - no pockets

                                                                Sports Bra - no padding, hooks, wire, or lace

1. Whites will only be accepted for the first seven (7) days the inmate is incarcerated.

2. New clothing only - clothing does not have to be in the packaging it was bought in.

3. Whites are to be dropped off in the Visitation Office Monday thru Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
