DOT-CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

StartFragment DOT-Construction Project The project listed below is scheduled to begin on August 5th, 2019. Crews will be working along SR 70 most of the time, but the project may require some occasional lane closures on SR 70. SR 70 from NE 34th Avenue to NE 80th Avenue: Construction project: Crews will be working in the ditches and trenches along SR 70 from NE 34th Avenue to NE 80th Avenue to perform drainage improvements in that area. Motorists should expect occasional daytime lane closures on SR 70 during construction. The contractor is Heavy Civil, Inc. Estimated project completion date is fall 2019. EndFragment

In the right place at the right time…

While patrolling in Treasure Island this morning, Deputy Tyler Ott was behind a vehicle that stopped in front of him. The motorist saw this little guy in the street, being attacked by other birds. It appeared that he couldn’t fly. Deputy Ott was able to pick him up in a towel and transport him safely to Arnold’s Wildlife, where he will remain until he has recovered and is able to be released. ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY

ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY On July 15, 2019 at approximately 6:14 am, the male depicted in these photos pulled into a business located at the 3800 block of Highway 441 North. The subject exits his truck and proceeds inside the store. While inside the store the truck rolls backwards and crashes into the side of the building/door area. The subject is described as a slender, Hispanic male with a goatee. The truck is a 2000’s green, Ford Ranger, with an extended cab, black toolbox and a “Costa” sticker in the left rear window.
