Congratulations Colonel Bell

Sheriff Noel E. Stephen promoted Chief Gary Bell to Colonel at a brief ceremony last week attended by his family and command staff. Colonel Bell has been with the Sheriff’s Office since December, 1987, working his way through every rank in road patrol before becoming Chief Deputy in January, 2017.

Sheriff Stephen stated, “It is impossible to be the Sheriff without a supportive team. Gary is a major component of that team. Gary is a “lead by example” type of supervisor. His daily Operational assistance is crucial to our success. This promotion is an effort to show respect and appreciation from my staff and me and that we appreciate his loyalty and hard work.”
