The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Cypress Hut Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #4509 for their generous donation of $1480.00. These monies were raised at a benefit that was held on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Negotiation Team will benefit from these proceeds that were raised and use these funds toward the purchase of a Rescue Phone Cellular Response Console(CRC). A CRC is a compact portable unit designed specifically for incidents such as barricaded subjects, hostages, or suicidal subjects. This cellular response console will be an aid for the negotiators in communicating with these types of incidents.
