The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist.

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs any combination of the following and similar duties: prepare, record, process, maintain, and analyze a variety of accounting records as they relate to the documents and files in accordance with established general orders. Position is responsible for professional accounting work. The Accounts Payable Specialist will complete work as assigned by supervisors.

Three years experience in accounting or accounts payable is preferred with preference given to those with experience in government.

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, medical examination, drug screening and fingerprinting will be required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. A full benefit package is included. Salary range is 33,000 to 41,851.98
