Law Officer’s Prayer

Father, in heaven, I thank you for giving me a chance to serve, those in my community. Their trust I pray to earn. Often I’m asked why I chose this profession. The pay is low and there’s constant pressure. The answer for me is simple and true; I find satisfaction in the job that I do. I ask for your protection as I’m on patrol, give me the courage to face whatever may unfold. Keep my family safe while I’m on my beat, let me know You’re there taking every step with me. Guide me through the day; lead in both the routine and the most dangerous task. Lord, keep Your hand on me these things I humbly ask.
