*Loud, crowded fireworks displays are no fun for dogs. Resist the urge to bring your dog with you to the festivities.

*Leave your dog at home with all the windows securely closed and all shades drawn. Turn on some music to drown out noise from fireworks.

*Create a quiet place so pets have a restful room or area to retreat to.

*Be sure all pets, including indoor cats, wear current ID tags. Clear identification can be a pet's ticket back home.

*If it is necessary to be outside with dogs during fireworks, make sure each dog is secure on a leash and harness. Don't leave. dogs outside unattended.
