Re: Narcotics Task Force arrests two in drug sting, leading to search warrant
On 01/27/2010 at 1543, Deputies and Detectives from the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, Okeechobee Police Department, Glades County Sheriff’s Office, and Drug Enforcement Agency conducted a search warrant at 1076 NW 364 Road in rural Ft. Drum in Okeechobee County.
An undercover officer purchased 26.1 Grams of methamphetamine from two suspects for $2000 at the Ft. Drum General Store. The two men were stopped in a traffic stop and arrested as they attempted to leave the area.
As a result of the arrest, Detectives obtained a search warrant for one of the suspect’s house at 1076 NW 364th Road, Okeechobee, Florida. During the search of the suspect’s house the following items were seized:

Sheriff Paul C. May said of this, “Anyone selling drugs is bad, but anyone who sells meth is selling death and family destruction. Our narcotics task force is paying special attention to this meth problem. I assure the good citizens of Okeechobee County that we will continue to strictly enforce our drug laws and I thank the Narcotics Task Force for their hard work.”
