Sheriff Paul C. May and Undersheriff Noel Stephen are proud to announce the “Employees of the Year” awards for 2009. The “Employees of the Year” awards are a celebration and recognition of Sheriff Office employees who have exhibited outstanding performance throughout the year.
The “Employees of the Year” are chosen from those awarded “Employees of the Quarter” from the four quarters, throughout the year. Employees of the Quarters are employees nominated by their immediate supervisors and co-workers for exceptional service and ultimately awarded by the Sheriff from these nominations.
There are four categories for Employee of the Year and quarter they are: Administrative Assistant, Citizen Volunteer, Detention Deputy, and Law Enforcement. The categories are defined as:
On December 18, 2009 at 11:30 AM, at the Sheriff’s Office, there will be a Sheriff’s Office Luncheon to celebrate Christmas and announce the Employees of the year. The Employee of the Year in each category will receive a plaque memorializing the event, a check for $500 (for volunteers it is a check for their respective program), and the employees picture is displayed in a place of honor at the Sheriff’s Office for the year.

On December 18, 2009 at 11:30 AM, Sheriff Paul C. May held a Christmas banquet. At the beginning of the luncheon, Sheriff Paul C. May issued four awards for the employee of the year. The awards given are as follows:
Sheriff Paul C. May said of the awards, “I am proud of all my employees and wish that I could give each, their own award. However, I am limited to just four people and these four individuals have shown outstanding performance beyond that expected and I am very grateful.”
