Sheriff Paul C. May has released the following information:
Case Officer: OCSO IT Department
Re: Inmate Search option now available online
Beginning November 25, 2009 citizens may now search the inmate population by internet. The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office instituted its official web site in November 2008. The website is now being expanded to provide other services such as press releases and inmate searches.
To use this service go to the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office website at www.okeesheriff.org. Choose the “Corrections” tab and go to “Inmate Search” on the menu. This will allow the citizen to search the website by inmate name. The Inmate Search will also provide information of past prisoners and inmate charges.
Sheriff Paul C. May says of the program, “We think this site will better serve the citizens in their search for public information. Our Information and Technology employees will continue to improve and upgrade this website to better serve the community.”
