Re: Vincente Valdes
On July 29, 2011, Vincente Valdes, age 41, was arrested in Okeechobee County charged with Impersonating Federal Officer, Possession of Cocaine, Unlawful Lights on Vehicle and Possession Of Concealed Handcuff Key.
Information had been obtained that Valdes was working at Okeechobee Shooting Sports as a range instructor and impersonating a Federal agent. Valdes told investigators he is a retired Law Enforcement Officer and ex-Marine. He had in his possession an ICE(Immigration and Customs Enforcement) badge, a retired Law Enforcement Officer concealed weapons badge, three handguns in a backpack and numerous long guns in his vehicle.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that Valdez was not employed at any time as a Law Enforcement officer.
Additional charges are pending. This case is still under investigation and no other information can be released at this time.
